SMITH SCHOOL LIBRARY BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

Honor your child's birthday by donating a book in their name to the Smith School Library. Your child will choose from one of our brand new books, a bookplate with their name and date of birth will be placed inside, and they will be the first child to take that book home. Leave a lasting memory of your child's time at Smith while helping to bolster our library collection. Simply fill out the attached form and send it along with a check for $15.00 made out to the Smith School PTA, and return the form and check to the attention of Mrs. Oliff

    books for summer

Each year, Ms.Killeen( Meadowbrook Librarian) , Mrs. Greenwald ( Hillsdale Public Library children's librarian) and myself collaborate on  summer reading lists, one for children K-2, a second for children 3-4. This year's lists are in the attachments below. Copies will also be in a binder at the Public Library. Please remember that reading levels (RL) have been provided as a general guide, but often times a child's interest in a particular book will encourage them to take a challenge, while at other times, he/she may wish to relax and read something for pure enjoyment. Please consider reading to your child- a good children's book can be a pleasant experience for an adult as well, and taking the time to read to your child will let him/her know that you, too, value reading.
