Hillsdale Public Schools

The Science curriculum adopted by the Hillsdale School District is one that reflects current, effective, research based science instruction and aligns to the New Jersey Students Learning Standards-Science (NJSLS-S). The curriculum shifts instruction from information sharing to a more hands-on inquiry based approach. The curriculum was revised with our regional partners from Montvale, River Vale, and Woodcliff Lake. This will ensure consistency in terms of content knowledge and skills for all students entering the Pascack Valley Regional High School District.    

Below you will find the science curriculum that was revised in 2010-2011 to meet both the Standards for Science. Teachers have shifted content and instruction away from these standards as the New Jersey Student Learning Standards Science (NJSLS-S) have been implemented.
