• School Promises

Help your child complete this activity. Then have your child write his or her responses at the bottom of the page. Return this page on the last school day of September.

September usually means the beginning of school for many students. Think about what things students can do to get the most out of their school year.

    1. As a family, discuss why it is important to go to school. Let family members share their ideas freely.

    2. Discuss what could be done to make the time you spend in school better.

    3. On a sheet of writing paper, write three things you promise to do to get the most out of your school year. Roll up the paper and tie it with a ribbon. Bring it to school to share with the class. Later, keep the paper in your room. As a reminder, reread your promises every month.
