Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
We are excited to once again be participating in the American heart Challenge. Last year, our program raised awareness and over $6,000 dollars of the American Heart Association. Similar to last year, the American Heart Challenge educates students on living a heart-healthy lifestyle, inspires students to engage in the mission of the American Heart Association and allows them to experience fun physical activity at school. To kick off the American Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart Challenge program for our schools will be implementing lesson plans in class, fundraising raising, and the event will be a perfect opportunity to spread awareness for fighting heart disease and stroke. The American Heart Association has been in place for nearly 100 years helping to save and improve lives through contributions and raising money. Our event will take place on February 14th, 2020! We are thrilled to participate as we work together to raise money for the American Heart Association and learn how nutrition and being active can help us live longer healthier lives.
We have an easy way for you to raise money online by having your very own fundraising page. Simply follow these steps:
- Go to www.heart.org/americanheartchallenge and search for your school area: George White.
- Once you find your school, click on “Join the Team.”
- Create a username and password and then fill out the registration form.
- Share your personal fundraising link with friends and family right away.
Once you have your fundraising page, log-in to your Heart Headquarters to get started. When you send emails to friends and family you are helping the American Heart Association to save lives and you are also helping to spread the message of heart health. Thank you so much for supporting our school and the American Heart Association. We know we can do this together!
