•    Ms. Trahanas took her time finding her way to becoming a teacher. In 2009, she graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Journalism. After an internship/freelance position working in the photo department of TV Guide Magazine, Ms. Trahanas landed a job in the photo department of the local newspaper, The Record. She worked there for three years before deciding that she need to make more of a difference in the world! She decided to follow in the footsteps of her mom and become a teacher. She quit her job and attended William Paterson University full time to earn her teaching certificate in K-6 and 5-8 with a specialization in Language Arts/Literacy. Ms. Trahanas student taught with Ms. Demirdjian in third grade at Anne Blanche Smith School during the 2013-2014 school year, and then spent the 2014-2015 school year teaching 6th grade Language Arts at Paterson Arts and Science Charter School. She has been teaching 5th grade Math and Science at George White since 2015. She is so excited to meet each one of you and to have a fabulous school year!
