  •  Meadowbrook School and our Ice Bucket Challenge

This summer has been full of adults and kids dumping icy water on each other for a good cause. Since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge started, over 33 million dollars has been raised to fund research and raise awareness to those who suffer from this condition. As we continue to look for ways to help our community in our character education program, I challenge all Meadowbrook families to participate by either taking the icy challenge or donating to http://www.als.org. If you have already participated, don't worry, it counts towards our goal! The goal: to get 50% or more of our school community to participate in this challenge. If we achieve this goal, the students will be able to dump the icy water on Mr. Bell at the end of September on our school spirit day. Let's all do our best to make this happen!! Once you participate, please complete the 2 question survey so we can keep track of the number of students who have completed the challenge.

  • Are You a Bucket Filler??

As an added component to our Pride Program, we will be looking to identify students and classes with character in other ways for the 2013-2014 school year. All students have been introduced to our theme next year, which is "Together We Can." With the focus more on teamwork, cooperation, and children working together towards a goal, we feel this added layer to our Pride Program will make it even better. With that said, all students will be trying to be a bucket filler, not bucket dipper. Please copy and paste the link below which explains the bucket filling idea in a short video.
